This is me, the writer, telling stories about family, travel, quirky moments in life and refecting on the world and its absurdities.
I've not seen many cyclists in 'traditional clobber' like that! Fun words, though...
Wow Little Hat. I just followed your link to your bicycle story. You simply must read my post here: http://thawinedarksea.blogspot.com/2009/10/bicycle-sagas-4.htmlYours is the only other 1960's postman's bike that I've seen. I sold mine recently, to a musician who just happened to collect 1960's postie bikes. I sold it because I came a serious cropper one night in the dark, slightly trolleyed and there were kerbs involved, if I remember rightly. Made quite a mess of my face.I absolutely loved that bike but never get on it again.
Lady Godiva on wheels.....? If I hadn't just had my hair cut, I might have given it a go...?Fun write...!
Here is the other post with a photo ...http://thawinedarksea.blogspot.com/2010/03/just-beautiful.html
Charming write, Mr. Hat! Nice to see you at Magpie again, my friend.
I wish I'd seen this piece earlier. I love it!
