On Friday nights these steps are thronging with people of all ages (though most much younger than myself) enjoying a drink and listening to live jazz. I came across it at 11:15pm on my way home from a concert and before the Australia - Chile soccer match. (Jo Burden had pointed it out to me but I'd forgotten so it was a pleasant surprise). Steps are a feature of old Valletta.
