Le Tour lasted seven seconds as the peleton sped on their way out of Aix, the starting point for stage 6 of the race and headed along Boylevard Artistide Briand towards Montpelier. I set my came3ra on action mode and shot about twenty photos in 12 seconds. This was the only closeup. Almost the whol town lined the streets. An exception was out city guide who had taken us on a walk and told us the story of Cezanne the, until recently, ignored son of AIX. Cezanne never competed in the tour. He ddied (1906) seven years before its inception in 1913.
