Steve Capelin is a writer, based in Brisbane Australia. His most recent publication, Paradiso A Novel, a work of historical fiction, tells the story of his Italian ancestors who arrived in Australia in 1881 after an ill-fated attempt to build a utopian colony in the jungles of New Guinea. Yours is the only other 1960's postman's bike that I've seen. I sold mine recently, to a musician who just happened to collect 1960's postie bikes. I sold it because I came a serious cropper one night in the dark, slightly trolleyed and there were kerbs involved, if I remember rightly. Made quite a mess of my face.
I absolutely loved that bike but never get on it again.
Lady Godiva on wheels.....? If I hadn't just had my hair cut, I might have given it a go...?
