I may be past it
but I can still drain
the waste from your sinks
so all that remains
is a scum line of leftovers
a sweet smelling refrain
of casserole chicken
and carrots and grain
I'm feeling neglected
you don't seem to care
you don't even notice
that I'm worse for wear
I'm fed up and putrid
I'm gasping for air
until you repair me
you'll know that I'm there.

that first line brough some intersting smell memories...ack. we live on a well and had to replace the sewer box once when i was a kid...shivers....nice mag!
I'd rather neglect them...keep draining, pipes!
so this is how my pipes feel? poor things!! nicely done.
Ick...that scum line is all too vivid! Perfect title, Steve. Great Mag.
One of the most vivid Magpies ever! Creative and unique.
If it's working, don't fix it...or...
ah, from a pipes point of view....bkm
they do have a soul, I knew it!
'until you repair me
you'll know that I'm there.' Ha ha! Indeed!
Awww... this was such a sweet cry of despair - if such a thing can ever exist. The pipe agrees to keep on serving, but would love it if it were cared for too...
How sweet is that!!
A beautiful Magpie... I loved the wordplay... "carrot and grain" -- awesome! :)
Very original. I'm pretty sure my pipes would second this...Nice.
